Sky Sports pundit Craig Bellamy has said that Aaron Ramsey may have already made his mind up to leave Premier League side Arsenal. The Wales international has just nine months left on his current deal with the Gunners and there are reports suggesting that contract talks have broken down altogether.

As such, he has been associated with a number of elite clubs across Europe and Bellamy feels the midfielder could part ways with the Gunners in either January or at the end of the season, he told The Debate: “I think they’ve lost him already – I think he’s gone. Come January or the summer, he’ll be going somewhere else. Four or five years ago, every club wanted him – Manchester City, Barcelona.

“I think it’s time for him to move on. He’s become conscious of some players that have stayed too long at Arsenal and not got the best out of their ability. He’s a tremendous footballer that has had injuries. Unai Emery will be a good manager for him but he needs a change. He’ll have a better chance of going to those top-end clubs if he’s on a free transfer.”
Ramsey made a slow start to the current campaign with no goals or assists during the opening five Premier League games. However, he has since transformed his game under Unai Emery and has contributed three assists and two goals from the three matches which have followed. Despite this, there appears no breakthrough in terms of a contract extension and the forthcoming months could give a clear idea regarding his future.
At present, Ramsey would be free to discuss a pre-contract with an overseas club at the turn of the year but the Gunners could yet discuss accept a cut-price deal for his services during the winter transfer window, should they manage to find a suitable replacement by then. Porto’s Hector Herrera has recently been touted as the leading candidate to replace the Welshman.
