Manchester United are flying high in the Premier League table and they are close to getting back to the top of the table after a strong surge of form. However, that has not stopped the club from looking at options to sign in the January window or in the summer. One of the players has been touted as a potential target for United is Moises Caicedo. The Ecuadorian footballer is a midfielder who is on the books of Independiente del Valle. Still only 19 years of age, the youngster has already caught the attention of various problems. He has also gone on to debut for the national team.

Independiente have been able to tie downCaicedo on a long-term contract that runs until December 2024. This puts the club in a strong position with regards to negotiating a transfer fee for the highly rated midfielder. United are looking to complete the transfer by spending around £5 million on the youngster. Due to the length of his contract,Independiente will be holding out for a few million more.Independiente general manager has claimed that there has been no official offer from Manchester United and that the midfielder remains a player of the Ecuadorian club.

United are looking to bring in other players likeAmad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri.
